Program Standards & Policies
Mentors Requirements and Training
- All mentors are background checked.
- Program lead is first aid certified and optional Wilderness First Aid certified. At least one mentor per group is first aid certified.
- All mentors complete a Little Bellas online training and in person training.
- All Program Lead complete an online training and have ongoing support.
Program Policies
- Drop-Off Program: Our programs are drop-off only and do not allow caregivers to remain with their child while at the program.
- Behavior Management: Little Bellas understands that kids are learning and growing in this program. Little Bellas has a behavior management policy for our participants to balance any individual's growth and development while also prioritizing the safety of the group.
- Violence and Sexual Harassment: We have zero-tolerance policy for adults when it comes to violence, threats of violence, sexual harassment and sexual abuse. Any violation of this policy will result in the offender being removed from the program.
- Public Displays of Affection: No public displays of affection allowed at the program. While consensual hugs are welcome as a friendly gesture, refrain from kissing or any form of intimate touching.
- Health and Safety: If your participant needs life saving medical equipment such as epipens or insulin pumps, they are required to have this equipment with them to participate in the program.
- Language: The use of vulgar language will not be tolerated.
- Electronics: The use of cell phones, computers, tablets, smart watches, e-readers, and all other electronic devices is prohibited during program hours.
- Under no circumstances may a participant or mentor be in the possession or under the influence of any of the following: alcohol, drugs, tobacco or cannabis products (including e-cigarettes, vapes, jules, pipes, and edibles), fireworks, matches, lighters, or weapons.
